  I've called this number several times to resolve health insurance and social service issues for myself and clients. Leaving a SS # is standard practice which enables them to familiarize themselves with your case before they call you back. They are busy, and it takes them a day or two to call back but they ALWAYS do, and they have ALWAYS solved my problems.
